A Breakdown Of The 2013 VMA Sitch

A Breakdown Of The 2013 VMA Sitch

The 2013 VMA awards are around the corner, and MTV has been revealing its top secrets slowly and almost painfully. Speaking of pain, the VMAs are notoriously known for taking risks and putting viewers into situations that call for therapy after seeing (live or not.)

Speaking of risks, here is one!  For a so-called “low key” guy, Kanye West is making more headlines than ever with his newborn baby, North West, and now the official announcement of his return to the VMA stage for the first time post theTaylor Swift debacle. Although there are most definitely T-Swift fans who are not over it, Kanye is… in fact, he was never really under it. West will be performing his new single, “Black Skinhead,” for his seventh live performance at the VMAs.

Kanye will most likely take the stage in a tight fitting button down with a pair of pants that will be the same color as his shirt, and fresh pair of sunniez. We can go ahead and assume that he will have the same facial expression throughout the entire performance (insert his inevitable hand gestures here) along with some type of out-of-context shoutout to his hottie baby mama, the one and the only, Kim Kardashian.

Other stars set to hit the stage include the mysteriously not-so-original Lady Gaga and, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed, Miley Cyrus is rumored to hit the stage with yet another attempt to prove to the entertainment world that she is no longer a Disney star… we get it though, YOU CAN’T STOP.

Nominees for best pop video are a huge shocker: Selena Gomez with “Come and Get It,” JT with “Mirrors,” Miley with “We Can’t Stop” and Fun. with “Carry On.” If you haven’t heard any of these songs overplayed and drilled into your brain, seek therapy and/or a radio.
